Photo Camp – 2021

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and National Geographic have launched a joint project Photo Capm. The elective course is held on the basis of the NIS chemical and biological direction in Almaty. Over the course of five days, about 70 students and circle leaders from all NIS will get acquainted with the peculiarities of photography and improve their research skills together with the photographers of the world-famous publication National Geographic. A student of the 8th grade Aruzhan Kuanyshova and a student of the 10th grade Amina Baymenova are taking part in the project from NIS Aktobe.

– National Geographic is a brand magazine featuring high-quality content and the best photos. This is the first joint project with Intellectual Schools. The course program covers many topics related to photography. We hope that the participants of the Photo camp will use their knowledge in their research work and share it in their schools — “said Aida Agadil, Deputy Director of the Development Department of the AEO” Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools”.

During the 5-day trip to the world of photography, participants will receive lessons from well-known coaches-photographers of the magazine, as well as improve their knowledge at workshops. Among the many interesting meetings is a special webinar by the German photographer Gerdt Ludwig about the details of the popular genre of “storytelling” today.
The representative of National Geographic Kazakhstan Kanat Abashov presented general information about the magazine and its work, expressed confidence that the project “Photo camp” will contribute to the improvement of research skiils.
