A student of NIS Aktobe is a prize-winner of the European Olympiad in Geography

Rustam Valeev won a silver medal at the European Geography Olympiad. More than 80 participants completed the Olympiad tasks for three days. This year, EGeO was held online and brought together young experts in geography from 14 countries of Europe and the CIS, including Serbia, Turkey, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan and Russia.

For the first time, the European Olympiad in Geography was organized in Belgrade (Serbia) and was held in 2015 as the Balkan Olympiad in Geography. The main goal of EGeO is to stimulate the interest of the younger generation in geography and ecology, as well as provide a platform for the development of friendly relations between schoolchildren from different countries.
